2026 CA FFA State Champion Vegetable Team Donation

Atwater High School and the Atwater Agriculture Department are proud to announce that Atwater FFA’s Vegetable Evaluation Team is the 2026 California FFA State Champion Team! The team earned this honor at the California FFA State Finals held at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, on May 2. 

Although there is no national finals contest for this event, the team has earned the opportunity to continue its growth through a national leadership experience. From July 9–14, 2026, the team will travel to Washington, D.C. to participate in the National FFA Washington Leadership Conference, joining FFA members from across California and the nation. During this experience, they will represent Atwater/Winton, Merced County, the State of California, and California agriculture. 

Atwater High School’s agriculture program is one of the largest single high school agriculture programs in the nation. Our program serves a large number of students from socioeconomically challenged families, with more than 95% of our agriculture students coming from non-agriculture backgrounds. Through agricultural education and FFA, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of young people by providing opportunities for leadership, personal growth, academic achievement, and career success. 

We are seeking to raise $10,000 to help cover the cost of sending our State Champion team to Washington, D.C. for this national leadership experience. We view every contribution as an investment in our students and their futures.
